Hi, first of all, congratulations, you are one of the winners of the Europe Film Festival U.K. What do you feel?

Almost as good as it felt being invited to film, interview and photograph Indigenous Natives, as I am one of 3 presently doing this, the other two are Natives.

What skills do you need to be a filmmaker/actor/actress?

The courage to listen to no one but yourself.

What, in your opinion, is the most important quality of a Film Director/actor/actress?

Choices! and being clear on the difference between “need and want”.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to have a life creating film/acting?

I am a general contractor, professional photographer, and own rental properties, these choices gave me the freedom to not have to look for funding for any of my projects or compromise my vision. There are people out there that will do your job for free just so they can build their credits. So create your own, support yourself or become a yes man/woman. It’s better to fail and keep trying on your project that it is to succeed on someone else’s.

Is filmmaking/acting a good career choice?

Difficult choice for sure, that is if you have aspirations of having a normal life with normal working hours, wife, kids and picket fence around a house in the burbs. It’s a selfish career as the bottom line is you’re doing it all for yourself, an effort to create your own legacy basically.
